I’ve been playing World of Warcraft for the past months. Since I firstly bought the game, I leveled a 70 Warlock and a couple of <40 alts.

I decided to come up with a list about WoW. This game, as all the others, has its bad and its good side. Today I’m listing the top bad sides of WoW.

1) Levelling is hard

Yes it is. It takes averagely 20-25 days of game play to get your character to 70, where the real game starts. Do you want to loose 20 days playing so you can actually start playing afterwards? No.

2) Same mobs

After each 5-10 levels, you have to kill again the same Bristelback Boars (Horde) and Kobolds (alliance). Isn’t that annoying?

3) PVP = Killing guards

PVP servers are suppose to be…PVP! Player versus Player. Try attacking Grom’gol outpost and see 100’s guards appearing instantly and wiping your raid. We want PVP! Let the players defend their outpost and not guards :S It’s nearly impossible to PVP in WoW, BG’s are the only way to actually make sure you’ll kill players and not mobs.

4) Racism

Yes RACISM. Little things that improve the game such as RAF (Recruit-a-Friend) are NOT available for all countries. In fact, there are like 5-8 countries who can actually benefit from that. My country ain’t among those. So why is it that players from France get to level 3 times faster then I do? RACISM.

5) Attunement?!

Who needs it? Do you fancy spending hours on a lame chain quest to get in an instance after that? I’d really wanna see a person who is actually for attunement questing. Blizz, remove it NOW.

6) Expensive flying mounts

5,000 gold for an epic flying mount that can’t even fly in Azeroth. That’s insane. I think Blizzard is promoting gold-selling by setting these prices, although they claim they’re against it.

7) Rogues

I always get encountered by rogues in BG’s. My warlock has no chance against them. First they sap me, then they backstab, then they imobilize me again and again and again. By the end of the battle I get killed and he’s full HP. Their STUN abilities are OP.

8) Leveling alts sucks

It is horrible to get through the same quest line every time you want to re-roll your class. Not that it took me 20 days to get my warlock to 70, need another month to my shammy to that level too. Can’t blizzard make lvling alts faster for those who have the end-game level?

If there’s anything I skipped or you want to add, comment below and it will be added on the list :)

19 Aug, 2008

Yes it is. For months, my web hosting board, which I did NO efforts to optimize it for SE, ranks well for its most important keywords.

According to Google Webmasters, here are some rankings:

1 41% web hosting talk 7
2 19% webhosting talk 7
3 10% appraisal forum 7
4 6% web host talk 5
5 3% google anlytics 14
6 3% google discussions 6
7 2% install psybnc 8
8 2% how to install psybnc 7
9 2% hosting talk 10

Keywords like “hosting talk”, “appraisal forum” are pretty attractive.

I remind you, I did mostly no work on that forum from a SEO point of view. Google is weird.

Cuil, a new search engine that was created by former Google employees, was launched last Monday . It was launched as a reply to G’s algorithm whose most important ranking factor is general trust of a domain.

Cuil.com

Cuil.com claims that they haveĀ 121,617,892,992 indexed pages in their database and they also claim that it’s the biggest database of indexed pages in the world. Google says otherwise.

Will Cuil.com be the google killer? Will Cuil.com be the “perfect google”, the one we love and hate? These questions have found themselves an answer in a very short week. Cuil.com claimed that they would kick google out of this business by last Thursday. Seems like this didn’t happen yet.

Cuil.com seems a failure. Although their traffic made a big skip forward (Alexa rank was 1,200,000 this Monday and now it’s ~5,000), they have no chances against the Big G.

All I want to say is, good luck Cuil, I’m with you!

P.S : Watch this blog banned from google after the last phrase :)
