Bid Directories - The crazy market

Bidding directories is a well known concept and it’s pretty new (not more then 1, 5 years old). The difference between the bid directories and the simple ones is that these list the sites in a descending order of bid value while other ones list by pagerank, traffic etc.

Same as simple directories, bid directories list their links by categories (shopping, business etc.) or by letters (a, b, c etc.). Though listing by letters is a bad idea IMHO.   Bid for position web directories display the top 6-10 highest bids on the homepage of the directory. This is where the maximum benefit is gained. A link from the homepage will typically carry more PageRank, and be seen by more people, than from a page within the directory.

Bid for position web directories are a great way of building links to your website, and for driving targeted traffic. However, the maximum benefit is that bid directories create an image for commercial sites. Wouldn’t you trust a site that made a 1,000$ bid just for one link?  It’s VERY profiting. Personally, today (27.11.07) I earned 72$ from my bid directory.

I’d suggest you trying out this market. You’ll need a good capital though and a good reputation among the internet to start the things off. Regarding the system (script) I’d recommend PHPLinkBid, which is the one I use on my bid directory and it works perfectly.

See you on the pitch!
