Microsoft says it has offered to buy Yahoo,for $44.6bn.
Microsoft on Friday offered to buy Yahoo for $31 per share, a 62 per cent premium over Yahoo’s closing stock price on NASDAQ on Thursday.
I wonder whether Yahoo! will agree. It’s a tempting offer, though I hope they decline it. Microsoft has already shown what they’re capable of with their Live Search (a.k.a Live Crap or Crap Search). A yahoo! under microsoft? That looks odd. Yahoo! Users, go forward and protest!
