Luckiest Adsense Publisher

The luckiest adsense publisher? That’s me.

Remember my 50$/day post? It’s history now. I logged into my email a few days ago and saw the Google Adsense deadly message.

But it wasn’t as deadly as I expected:

Hello,

As stated in our programme policies, AdSense publishers are not permitted to place Google ads on sites involved in the distribution of copyrighted materials.

As a result, we have disabled ad serving to the site.

Your AdSense account remains active. However, we strongly suggest that you take the time to review our programme policies (https://www.google.com/adsense/policies) to ensure that all your remaining pages comply with these policies.

Please note that we may disable your account if further violations are found in the future.

I made a post in regards of this matter on DigitalPoint and seems like there are very few people who get this type of treatment from Google. Usually, they just ban your account.

P.S : The accusations that my site distributes copyrighted material are invalid, as I only link to copyrighted materials (videos).

Ouch! Is this blog PR0?

Weird thing. My google toolbar shows PR0 on this blog although I’m positive it showed PR2 a few minutes ago.

I checked with other pagerank checking tools, all show PR0.

What can that be? It’s too early for an update and hey, I don’t deserve PR0!

[For Beginers] Article directory submissions

Webmasters have the unenviable task of ensuring that the sites they manage have massive volume of traffic. This is to continue to attract advertisers to ensure the survival of the websites. This is a big pressure on their part, but it’s the reality of doing business online. Setting up a website does not stop when it becomes fully functional to the users. The process of building the website goes on and on. It also includes putting more content to attract massive number of users. Content is primarily the force that drives a website into greatness. Unique content is what users are constantly looking for. However, no amount of unique content can drive up your statistics if you do not have an online marketing campaign. No matter how great the content is, if it is not promoted properly, your site will probably die of natural causes.

The common practice is to make use of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) efforts to improve the ranking of a website in a particular search engine. Webmasters are very much concerned about the rankings of the websites in the top three search engines. They usually don’t pay much attention to the other search engines because they assume that most users only make use of the top search engines. While we know what happens when people assume, their assumptions are quite spot on. The top three search engines have a firm grip of the market and it will probably stay that way for a long time. These search engines make use of algorithms that allow their system to crawl the Internet and pick up new sites as well as the newly updated sites. It’s all automatic. Taking into consideration how search engines work, webmasters have found solution in SEO. Hence, the websites are being optimized by strategically putting keywords on content of the site as well as tinkering with the HTML codes. While this practice may improve the ranking of the site on the main search engines, it may not help so much on the other sites that do not have the same indexing system.

One of the new ways to build links to your site is through article directory submission. This entails making cleverly written articles that appear to be informative rather than a sales pitch. With this said, you may need to hire creative writers. Once that has been secured, these articles will then have to be submitted to article directories. These directories become venues for articles that talk about various topics. The more articles submitted, the higher the chance of people linking back to your main website. If this is done in conjunction with SEO efforts, your sites can get massive linkbacks to your site. It’s also important that you make use of article directories that have a high index rank, so that you can be sure that the articles you have submitted would appear in the first two pages of the search engine’s site.

Article directory submission is currently being done because it has shown how effective it is in driving up traffic to websites.
