Ok so, I heard many people whining that the bid directory market is dead and blah blah. But people are still greedy on getting their links on a homepage with pagerank, even though its not a big one.
However, pagerank is not the most important factor. I’ll give you an example, my www.bidfortop.com. It’s a bidding directory with unique design, not with much pagerank juice, with a tiny PR3 and a couple of thousand backlinks.
Last week, that tiny PR3 earned me mid xxx$ (I won’t disclose the amount, though its 300$+).
The bid directory market is not dead. Dont be afraid in investing in your bidding directory, I wasnt and I still aint and the results are better then I expected.

I think they are still very valuable because you can get your websites that ARENT webmaster related on the top of its category page for very cheap.
